Each town has its own community events that people take part in and look forward
to every year. It doesn't matter if you're into painting exhibits
that offer variations on the faux painting technique or enjoy the wide range of
fruits at the farmer's market, community events bring people together. And
in a small town like Halton Hills, community events offer the residents an opportunity
to get together and enjoy what the town has to offer. In this section of the site
you'll come across some of the community events that take place in Halton
Hills.
Many tent rental Toronto companies sometimes get business from Halton Hills
as they need tents to cover the outdoor exhibits and presentation booths at
the Summer Flower Show that takes places at the Georgetown Marketplace Mall
every June. The show is presented by the Georgetown Horticultural Society and
it's an event that lets people show off their most prized plants to the
public as the plants are entered into various competitions. There are not many
things better than spending the day walking around an area full of pretty flowers
that look amazing and smell just as wonderful.
Halton Hills is also home to interesting and unique public speakers and presentations
that are fun to attend. The Georgetown Market Place is home to many celebrity Q&A
events in which actors or athletes will come visit the town and spend
time with their fans. They answers questions, take pictures and autograph photos.
If you're a soap opera fan, one such event that will be of interest is
the Daniel Goddard (from the Young and the Restless) Q&A event. Having the
opportunity to meet and chat with your favourite celebrities is a once in a
lifetime opportunity, just as much as reaching the finals in the local hockey
tournament.
If you're part of an Ontario art tour you should consider coming down
to Halton Hills and visiting their Halton Region Museum. They offer a wide range
of programs and events that run year round, from learning to paint to how to make a pair of ladies pants. One such event is their Escarpment
slide presentation. A museum interpreter will take you on a hike along the Bruce
Trail where you will take part in such activities as fossil identification.
The tour is put on every year from May to October. Halton Hills also has other
museums such as the Halton Hills Sports Museum and the Street Car Museum which
also run a variety of events that are fun for you and the whole family.
Halton Hills is also home to a variety of other community events such as antique
shows in Acton, classic car shows put on by the Rock 'n' Roll 'n'
Classics Committee, plays performed by the Georgetown Little Theatre, or the
Snowflakes and Snowsnakes event where you can take part in snowshoe adventures
and wagon rides. These are only a few of the possibilities that you can take
part in. Wouldn't visiting Halton Hills to attend any one of these events
be more exciting than spending your time looking at Toronto real estate properties?
